Spring flowers in bloom at Emmetts Garden

Emmetts Garden

The plants on this lofty hillside Edwardian estate may be from all around the world, but the spectacular views across the Weald are pure Kent.

Emmetts Garden occupies one of the highest spots in Kent. In the 19th century, it was owned by banker and passionate plantsman Frederic Lubbock, who wanted the garden to be both a family home and an homage to horticulture. That balance continues today and you’ll find exotic and rare plants alongside open meadows and grassy play areas that are perfect for children to roll around in.
