The Mount Vineyard
Follow the journey of award-winning wines from grape to glass in gorgeous surroundings at The Mount. Rows and rows of the boutique vineyard’s vines line the slopes of picturesque Shoreham village in the Darent Valley. It’s a beautiful spot for a wine tasting, tour and meal. You can pick up a bottle and some treats in the Ten Acres Shop too.
Wine tastings in winter take place next to a log burner in the Wine Loft tasting room. In summer, some tasting sessions include a vineyard tour.
It’s unlikely you’ll be able to stay here for just the one, so book a table at the al-fresco (but weatherproof) courtyard restaurant and feast on small-batch cheeses, locally sourced fruit, veg and breads, stone-baked pizza and, of course, an inspiring wine menu that features wines from The Mount, Kent and across the globe.
The Mount also hosts live performances, and they’re a popular events venue. Even better, it’s close to Shoreham train station so you can get the train!
